Fandom: Tamora Pierce Title: A Surprising Blow Characters: Kel/Zahir Length: 147 Rating: PG Summary: As the King's squire, he'd only been average at best. Kel's about to learn first-hand how much better he's gotten. Prompt: Kel/Zahir "be fair" from rain_sleet_snow for the Prompt Meme. (Of which there are two slots left.)
Author's Note: Oh dear. Firstly, it's been yonks since I've done anything TP-related. Secondly, I never really paid Zahir much attention. (Whoops. Sorry Zahir.) (I did skim-read PotS for any bits with him in; after which I decided I couldn't fret too much about this being OOC when there's so little of his character in canon anyway.) Thirdly, it isn't very shippy. (Sorry May.) I couldn't get it shippy (without resorting to sickly sweetness) and stick to the prompt and still be relatively close to drabble-length. Maybe when I'm more practiced again I can give it another attempt for you, May... :P Anyway, enough excuses. I hope you like!

Fandom: King Arthur (2004 movie) Title: The Dead Hours of Night Characters: Gawain Length: 100 Rating: G Summary: Perhaps there's a darker side to Gawain, perhaps there's a part of him that's horribly resigned. Prompt: 6a from ka100 Maybe the season The colors change in the valley skies Dear God I've sealed my fate Running through hell Heaven can wait
Long road to ruin There in your eyes Under the cold streetlights No tomorrow No dead-end in sightLong Road to Ruin, Foo Fighters ( In the dead hours of night ) Feedback is love. ♥ Also, there are still a few slots left on the prompt meme, if anyone's interested. Nabbed from May:
The first TEN FIVE people to comment in this post get to request a drabble of any pairing/character of their choosing from me (word prompts are good too). In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their ability level. (You don't have to, but it would be kinda cool if you did. Just sayin'.)I've halved the number of people because otherwise I would not cope AT ALL. I don't want to not be able to write fics to people's prompts, or get so busy it takes me weeks to finish all ten, so I'm just doing five for now. Maybe once I've done these five, I'll put it up again for the other half. Also, I can't promise the drabbles are going to be exactly 100 words long every time. Depends how particular I'm being. I'll try my hand at anything from: Tamora Pierce, Robin Hood (BBC), King Arthur (2004 movie), Doctor Who (New-verse), Torchwood, X-Men (movie verse, incl. Wolverine), Iron Man (movie-verse), plus at a stretch - Nolan-verse Batman, or PotC. Is that enough of a choice for you? :PTags: ficcing, meme i'm feeling: satisfied

Fandom: King Arthur (2004 movie) Title: Affinity Characters: Galahad Length: 100 Rating: G Summary: Compassion and affinity came to Galahad abruptly. Prompt: Picture prompt, over here. Author's Notes: Ha, clearly the picture warped in my head when I went to write this. It doesn't look like I thought it did when I go back to it now. Oh well! Fandom: King Arthur (2004 movie) Title: Anticipation Characters: An unnamed knight and his mother. Length: 100 Rating: G Summary: She hated the agreement, and there was nothing she could do but wait for them to come for her son. Prompt: Either the well was very deep, or she fell very slowly, for she had plenty of time as she went down to look about her and to wonder what was going to happen next. [Alice's Adventures In Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll.] Author's Notes: ka100 has been restarted, woo! I've been waiting for one of the prompts to catch my muse - and I loved this one. Something different for the fandom. This probably doesn't technically fit the community's rules, since the main character is supposed to be one of the knights, but hey. Enjoy anyway. Cross-posted at the community, here. ( so long to anticipate )Tags: fanfic, fanfic: king arthur i'm feeling: drained

I think (in fact I'm pretty sure) someone just spoilt the entire main plot point of Torchwood series 3 for me. I've been carefully avoiding spoilers like the plague - and a single, inconsiderate, unsubtle comment in a fic summary/AN has, I'm sure, blown all that. For fuck's sake, people. It really isn't hard to keep things totally spoiler-free for a few weeks. Bloody hell. (Sorry, it might seem like over-reacting, but I hate not being given the choice of spoilers. I hate having spoilers thrust upon me without warnings when I'm deliberately trying to avoid them. I used to always read/watch as many spoilers as I could get my hands on, but had too many occasions when this ended up ruining the final product for me. Now, for something I'm really fond of, something I'm really looking forward to, I like to keep it all a surprise. Thanks, fuckers idiots that ruin that.)Tags: fandoms, tv: torchwood i'm feeling: irritated

Fandom: Torchwood -- so it all belongs to the BBC & RTD. Title: Three Times a Valentine Characters/Pairings: Rhys-centric, Rhys/Gwen (cameos from the team) Rating: PG for language. Words: 3,272 Warnings/Spoilers: None really. Set between 'Meat' and 'Something Borrowed'. Summary: Rhys has to learn to cope with Torchwood and all it entails - even when it's subtler things than getting shot. (Hopefully not sappy. I didn't want to do a sappy Valentine's Day fic.) A/N: Yes, the place in "Plan B" is loosely based on my memories of Cardiff's The Pancake House. "Rarebit" is short for 'Welsh rarebit', which is basically a yummy, Welsh version of cheese on toast. Finally, I'm not sure if what Rhys actually does to Gwen's phone is, er, doable - but, hey, artistic licence. Feedback is loved. ♥ Tags: fanfic, fanfic: torchwood i'm feeling: rushed

The first response to one of the prompts you wonderful people left me... Fandom: Torchwood (!) -- so it all belongs to the BBC & RTD. Title: You Said He Said Characters/Pairings: The team, but specifically Gwen and Owen. Gen fic. Prompt: "miscommunication" from anaroriel (which I'm not sure it entirely fits. I take 'miscommunication' to mean more of bad communication, like not understanding what someone's meaning, where this is more of not hearing each other correctly, but this fic just kinda spilled out... Oh well.) Rating: T for language. Words: 1,550 Warnings/Spoilers: None really. Set sort of mid-S1 I guess. Summary: Jack said it wasn't dangerous. Didn't he? [This is me kinda "playing" with the characters. Getting to know them. Hopefully it'll lead on to "better" things.] ( 'You said it wasn't dangerous!' )Feedback of any type is loved. ♥ Tags: fanfic, fanfic: torchwood where i'm at: Torchwood-land, yeah! ;) i'm feeling: productive i'm hearing: I Kissed A Boy - Cobra Starship
